AND STOP HAVING MORE CHILDREN, you just keep repeating the cycle of poverty by having more and more children. If you are poor, STOP. There is ways to stop, but we all know that abstinence works 100%. I don't condone ignorance. If you know you can't afford them don't do it! Seriously, in my day and time there was NO WIC programs, we fed our kids ourselves. I didn't get medicaid to help me with my hospitals and doctors, no there wasn't much for me. Now days you get it all. So if you have to depend on even ONE agency for help, then don't get pregnant. You are smart enough to know you are fertile.... So stop the cycle of poverty!
Toys for Tots in most cities, even the small ones are generally ran by the local Sheriffs department. People, you have children, which means you INSTANTLY qualify for food stamps/SNAP. Your children weather by blood or otherwise automatically get medicaid if you are at or below poverty level. PERIOD!!! Call your local Police Department and get information NOW before it's too late, for the Toys for tots program. Most of the time it is only for Children Under the age of 14 or 15. Why that is? Because older children should have been taught how to work. Lawn work etc... to prepare for early adulthood at the age of 16 which will enable them to get a legal tax paying job.
I have read so many heart wrenching stories here, but sit back and read what you have written...... now are we all to believe you have checked out all your resources and been turned down? Try again. Are we to believe that just because you have children that your instantly needy? There is a such thing as multiple jobs. Go get em'. For the lady below that has 7 grandchildren to buy for, and 5 are living with her due to daughter dying in car accident. Welfare office! You will INSTANTLY get AFDC/Grandparents Check, Medicaid, Food Stamps, TOYS for TOTS, COATS for KIDS, and many many other great programs. Call them! That is if you are NOT getting child support for them... and if you are, then you still qualify for most Programs. Nothing for yourself, I am in the same boat there, kids grown, TONS of dental problems, and no dental insurance. High deductibles/co-pays on company paid med. Still my face swells up, broken tooth, etc... no way to get help.
Please people, call / visit you local welfare office, if your situations are truly the way you put it, then you can get the help you need there.
